Adventures, Adventures!!!!

This week was a little bit more relaxed, thank goodness;=D

  • Monday - Tyler did a fabulous job at presenting FHE. He talked about "Hope" from the conference talk from Pres. Uchtdorf. Tyler was able to relate the story about when he was a little boy and left on the train with his siblings and how his mom never gave up hope in finding them, with his own words and a lot of details. He also was able to help us remember that "Hope is a gift of the spirit". It was a wonderful FHE, and I am grateful that we are reviewing the talks from Conference.

  • Tuesday - Tyler had Cub Scout Meeting and Alison had a friend come over because she had forgotten her agenda in school and did not have the homework assignment. Alison ended up on redoing hers with a more legible handwriting and it turned out a lot better. Was it worth the time she worked on it? She says yes, because she has learned that when she does it well done she can be pleased with the results and accept the grade knowing she did her very best.

  • Wednesday - I have related the story about our trip to the dentist on my last posting. We had an enjoyable evening. After the appointment Eric went to a Halloween party at a friend's house and while there he swallowed the cotton that was in his mouth. He called the number he knew (home number) and couldn't understand that my cell number was different. It was funny to see the light go on and understanding coming when I explained. He was fine and no harm done.

  • Thursday - I went to check on Eric at school because he woke up quite sore and barely able to eat anything. After our short little visit, he was walking away and turned around, pounded his fist on his chest twice and showed me the peace sign, just like big boys do. It was so funny, I could not stop laughing for a little while.

One of the playground, cafeteria attendants told me how much she likes my boys and how nice they are. She said that on Tuesday Tyler was eating his chocolate pudding first and she gave him a (Harry Potter movie) howler, and that made all the kids at the table laugh quite a bit including Tyler, I bet he will remember that every time he has chocolate pudding.

  • Friday - I stopped in school to bring a fruit tray for the Halloween party the boys had at school and ended up on staying the whole time. Eric's party was great and we had a lot of fun. Tyler's party was so loud but they seemed to have fun. Tyler had a good group of friends in school and he is happy that they are helping him learn how to play football. They even have a name for their team, they called themselves the "EJ's" or "The Eagle Jaguars".

  • Saturday - Troy and I went on a breakfast date and shopping for birthdays and Christmas. We had a great time. We told the kids that if they did their chores by the time we got back we would do something fun. They were done ahead of time and Alison come up with a really fun game for them to read, even Eric was reading to her. When we came back Troy took us on a hike. I told him no longer than one hour. We ended up on hiking for THREE hours. We saw some really cool waterfalls, one of them being the Arch falls. We had to rock climb down to it and the kids had a blast. I am so thankful for the beautiful nature Heavenly Father has placed all around us. On the way back Eric found a small stick and said "Look, mommy, I'm Yoda!!" I could not pass taking the picture. He used a taller stick he found on the way to climb all the way up, and every time we would come up to an icy patch, he would test the ice to make sure he would not sink into the mud. The kids wanted to watch a movie when we got back to the house but they fell asleep in the car so we thought they were tired. Even the dog laid down in the back of the truck. After we put the kids to bed, I came downstairs and saw the dog drinking from his bowl, the poor thing was so tired that he did not even lift his head up, he just scooted his snout to the water bowl and took laps of water.

I can't believe it is November already. Happy November to all.

Eric... that is awesome... you want to be an Intel Person!!!! Excellent. They are mysterious and cool... well, at least my version of Intel persons are!!! I hope yours too!!

So, you've lost 2 teeth already? Jothan did too!!! It looks cool to be toothless! Jothan enjoys it very much!

Tyler, I have to say: aliens from Mars have an awesome big butt and tummy!!! :-) You made me laugh! I loved your costume!

You know, I have had to redo some home work in the past and it wasn’t too fun. I am glad Alison had a good attitude about it. Now that I think back, redoing it wasn’t so bad because I did learn more the second time around. However, I soon discovered that putting up my best effort on the first time was more beneficial. Good job Alison, keep it up!
