- Monday - it was my turn to do FHE. We talked about the importance of reading the Book of Mormon and I started a little reading insentive that will teach the kids to search the scriptures for answers in their lives. Let me know if there is anyone interested and I will send the address of the website.
- Tuesday - I had Enrichment night and I learned quite a bit about blogging. I have to say I have truly enjoyed blogging. It has been fun to put together the slide shows and selecting the music. If you have not heard it yet, listen to the song called "Bubble Gum", it is the kids' favorite. They specially like the dime and nickle part. We also had the Humphries come and stay overnight because they were moving. They have 4 small children and I thought it would make their lives a little easier to put the kids to bed and finish with the moving process. It was awesome to have them over.
- Wednesday, I visited with Sister Humphries and the kids played, we had fun. It was sad to see them go, but I am excited for them on their next adventure! We like to think of moving as adventures. We always have friends in the making waiting for us at our destination and it is fun to meet them, and get to know new people.
- Thursday - Violin lessons as usual.
- Friday - Tyler and Eric did not have school, but that did not stop us from having a busy and crazy day. I didn't go to work since the boys were out of school. Tyler had a tooth pulled by Dr. Barton (my boss) because he had a cavity and since it is a baby tooth and close to falling out we thought to be the best option. Than he had an appointment with his psychiatrist, he has been responding well to his meds and we are happy since it gives him minimal side effects. Than it was my turn to get shots. We went to Tyler's school for Parent Teacher Conference and Tyler is doing well in school, the only two problems we are having is that he is too social and has a hard time listening sometimes, and he needs to work on his multiplication and division facts. His teacher sees a great potential in him if he listens more and applies what he learns. Tyler gets really excited to show it when he has mastered a subject but gets easily distracted when he doesn't know something.
I put gas in the truck and I was astonished by the gas prices and so thankful. I paid only $1.97/gal. It has been years since we have paid this little for gas. I almost did a little dance there, but I saw people nearby and thought no one should be put through seeing me dance.
- Saturday - We got our garden plot ready to plant this next spring. It is so cool to look out the window and see the piece of land we will have a garden in. Than I had to get things ready for the Primary Teacher Appreciation Dinner. Setting up, cooking dessert, and the roasting the meat. We had an enjoyable dinner and program. Later we had some friends come over for games, since it is becoming tradition to have them over for my birthday. We love getting together with them.
- Sunday - Well, Happy Birthday to me!!! I was conducting primary today and I feel awkward in announcing my own birthday so I had Alison come up and announce it. Also a member of the bishopric spotlighted Alison for bringing a friend to Activity Days, and her missionary work efforts.
The weather is just beautiful. We've had it in the 50's and 60's - WOW!! What a weather for November.
