- Monday the kids had flu shots! Oh, I am such a mean mother :=D Eric gave FHE. Let me tell you, I am so very thankful for the new Nursery manual. Eric prepared a lesson about the importance of the Sacrament. He did a FABULOUS job! He colored the pictures and presented a simple lesson that he understood.
- Tuesday Troy and I went to vote early in the morning. Tyler had Cub Scouts. Alison had Activity Days, where they had a showcase. She played a song on her PINK violin, shared the babysitting course that she took last month, she said she read 28 books since summer started, showed her hoop knitting
- Wednesday was kind of sad because it was announced that Obama was the president even before they counted the votes from Montana. I know that we have done our part in voting but it didn't even count. I pray that he will lead this country with dignity, and that he doesn't forget how this country was started. I worked really hard in cleaning our house, and had a Primary presidency meeting to plan the teacher appreciation dinner.
- Thursday Alison had violin and she is improving slowly but steady.
- Friday I did not get home from work until 2:45, Eric was home already since he gets out early from school. He was waiting for me on the porch. He said he had looked on the phone for my name (Buckner) but he couldn't find it to call me to let me know that he was home, so he thought I had to be home soon anyway and went to wait for me up front. When I got home he had a big ol smile and he was all proud of himself that he did not get scared. My little man is growing up.
We had a birthday party for Alison we sent out a fairy invitation, but didn't really have a theme. She had 8 of her friends come for a make yourself pizza, Sunday ice cream and lots of games. They played Pictionary, Apples to Apples, Mad Gab; and they sang, oh.... they sang songs and danced and laughed and it was awesome!!!! She said it was the best birthday party ever.
One of her friends gave her a queen size mattress and she was so excited, sure it was gently used, but now when people come to see us we will have beds for everyone. She had all the bedding for that size and it worked out just great.
- Saturday we had a lazy day, not much going on with the exception of the adult session for Stake conference. Alison babysat the boys.
- Sunday, today we had the missionaries over for dinner and we celebrated Alison's and Elder Gnauamo's birthday. It is always fun to have the missionaries over, but he has been a great example of serving the Lord, and serving others to my kids. He is going back home to Tonga in the next couple of weeks and we wanted a chance to show him our appreciation.
Alison is 11 now, a young woman, she got some high heel boots (not too high) but her attitude is changing to one of a young woman. We are so blessed for having her as our first baby and daughter. She is an example to us in righteousness and I hope and pray that she will always remember her values as she grows up.
